This is a known bug reported by very few users which we haven't been able to duplicate.
The programmers are trying to figure out why this is happening and how to fix it. In the meantime, you can do a manual back up of the Family File. Go to the c:\Legacy\Data folder and highlight the first file with your file name. Hold down the shift key and click on the last file with your file name. Right click and select Send to... > Compressed File to zip those files up together and then move that zip file to your backup location off of your hard drive. There's no easy way to do a multimedia backup other than backing up all your multimedia files.
