Not that I'm aware of. The only way would be to combine selecting 3
columns (or best fit) and changing the font for the children's list so
that you can see 3 columns. Doesn't help with 16-20 though.

The program would need to be changed to restore the position of the
scroll-bar. Use the Home tab and then click on 'Suggest a new feature'
within the Support block, to see if Millennium can accommodate this.
