I'm wondering if the person might not have felt intimidated especially if your email gave any sort of reference to a tie with Legacy or Millennia Corp? I could understand where they might just want to ignore you under those circumstances. But as I stated before, there are many people out there that create a family file without any sources or documents. They rely mostly on assumptions, family rumors, and my favorite "he/she MUST HAVE been (enter event name and/or here)".
