Your 1st pet peeve is also one of mine. Things that are allowed to be
changed by the user should stay that way!
Hope somebody has an answer.

As far as the 2nd pet peeve I don't even know why it works the way it
does but I know there are many people here that have the same issues
whit photo locations. Glad you asked.
