I think we're looking for diseases etc. that are inherited (or have a tendency to be inherited). Thank you for giving this some thought...........as always there is more than one way to approach this and I had not thought much about it until now.
Is there a way to print a pedigree that includes the 5th BMD field? Since we already have a place to record cause of death and medical notes, I was hoping for a way to print a pedigree chart with just that information. If you are tracking different cancers or birth defects for the greater family; or just one type, then you could use events. If tracking exactly one symptom, you can put that in the '5th' BMD field. Deaf or blind are examples of 'one symptom'. These are suggestions only, but may help you decide how and why you want to track death types.
