I found an old post (shown below) where the user, Ruth, wanted to add the
name of a spouse to an individual's event. User Graham responded to Ruth's
post saying that it worked for him. I want to do the same thing.

For example, since marriage is a major event in a person's life, I'd like to
create an individual event that would go something like [FirstName] married
[WifeFullName].

I wonder how Graham got this to work, if anyone else has had luck doing it.
C. G. Ouiment seemed to indicate it only made sense (worked) when used in
Couple/Marriage events.

(If there was an option to capture the marriage data [date and place], that
would be great, but realise that would be a suggested enhancement.)

Thanks,
Christine

That would make sense.

I was trying to put the event under, for instance, the husband's event list
but I think that won't work (unless yours did?). I think it only works if I
put the event under Marriage Events.
Thanks.
Ruth

It works for me. The only thing I can think of is that you don't have data
for all fields. You could put the [CoupleFirstName] in all the sentence
definitions and see if it makes a difference. When I changed the field
choices at the top of the event definition window and had no data the
sentence was blank.
