Jenny,

We often hear about this is Technical Support. Sometimes when a screen's fonts
seem to revert to an unreadable size, you can maximize and then restoring the
screen size back to what it had been and the fonts will become readable.

To change the font size on your Legacy screen please click on Options on the
menu bar and select Customize. In the Customize windows select the Fonts tab.
The font types for Legacy screens are set in the upper half of the Customize -
Font window. Click the Change button on the appropriate line and then select
the new font and size by highlighting its name and clicking OK.

You can also set the minimum and maximum font size to be used on the screen. If
screen fonts are too small to be readable, make sure there is a check mark in
the box for 'Stretch font when resizing' and then change the minimum font size.
A minimum font size of 7 or 8 is usually fine for people with good vision, but
many users prefer to increase the size to 10 or 12. When done, please click the
Save button in the lower left corner of the Customize - Font window and then
check to see how your screen looks.

Now, as you stretch and reduce the size of various windows in Legacy, the font
sizes are changed accordingly. If you shrink a window to a small size, the
fonts may become unreadable again. On the other hand, if you maximize a window,
the fonts will increase to their maximum set size. Setting screen fonts just
right takes some experimentation to get it just the way you want. If desired,
the stretching of fonts can be turned off by unchecking the 'Stretch Fonts when
Resizing Screens' option.

Monitor settings can also make a difference. Legacy is just a bit different in
that it requires the Windows System fonts default dpi of either 90 or 120. In,
addition if you right click on the Legacy icon and select Properties from the
popup menu and select the Compatibility tab you can experiment with resolutions
and/on dpi settings here.
