Hello,
I have a 4 page hand written report of the events of a families life,
that I wrote about 1980, after interviewing a person who remembered the
events because she lived them.
It is written in "story" form,I tried to write it like a
book, anyway,it contains things like how people lived, rivers flooding the
house,family traditions,occupations,sickness,family events during WW I,
wandering to get to safety through Europe and then the immigrant experience,
as you can guess its a lot of old family memories that I was very lucky
to obtain.

Now my problem,
I have scanned the pages and combined them into one .JPG that I plan on
using as a source, including the media.
How and where should I record the information?I would like it to appear
in Family/Individual reports.
The story pertains to a family unit of 3 generations,15 individuals,
with lines like EX.
"the family had to leave there town because the fighting came to their
village"
"Fred drowned in the river as he was showing off"
"the children didn't go to school and the authorities threatened to sent
the parents to jail".
"they mailed money back home in the back of a picture"

So,should I create an event like family story and type the entire report
in the event note section
and copy it to all names in the family? Then a family report will be
very long and repetitious.
Or,should I break down the report and type the information in an
individuals note,
then it looses the cohesion of a story.
How would you record all these stories for all the individuals concerned
when there not really events?

Thanks for any advise you can offer,
Take care,
Brian Lehman
