Loading loads a DESCRIPTION of a saved Focus Group from disk. Saving writes a DESCRIPTION of the current Focus Group to Disk. What were you expecting to happen? *** >From a later post, it appears you are trying to use a Focus Group for a GEDCOM Export. If so, forget the View menu. Just go to "Export to GEDCOM File" and click on "Record Selection". Then click the "Selected records contained in Focus Group" radio button, then click the "View/Select Focus Group" button. When you get the Focus Group dialog, create the Focus Group you want -or- Load one from disk. When you are finished, just click the "OK" button. The GEDCOM Export is now going to be restricted to the Focus Group you have told it to use.
