Wow; this is definitely over my head but intriguing if I'm reading this right.
In your first paragraph you discuss "....Legacy had problems importing this field. That does not appear to be the case anymore" What were you importing into your Legacy file? and from what source? Are you referring to a gedcom of someone's family tree on Ancestry? Usually if there's something I don't understand, it's because there is something I need to learn from others in the group, so I'd appreciate a clarification please.
