I create a new source for each database at FamilySearch, Ancestry.com,
FindMyPast, GenealogyBank, etc. But then I am a "splitter" so that works well
for me.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Sourcing Family Search

I have been finding lots of records on the Family Search Beta (which now
seems to have dropped the beta) and have been using the Church
records>LDS Genealogical Compilations>International Genealogical
Index>Online database SourceWriter template which seems to fit very
well.  Up to now I have set up a new Master Source for each database but
I wonder if it wouldn't have been preferable to have one Master Source
for the FS site as I always look up the film number in the Catalogue to
get the title to include in the Source Details.  Do other LUGgers have
one FS Master Source or many?  (FWIW, I have a separate Master Source
for each Ancestry database and for each FindMyPast database, so I am
consistent!)

I did look at the New Family Search template but decided that the IGI
one was more suitable.  Can LDS LUGgers tell me if records on nFS look
very different to those on the Beta site or can I continue to use the
IGI template when nFS becomes available to non-LDS?  It is important to
me to know the origin of the record and to have the details necessary to
allow me to access the original (or film thereof) where possible and
with the IGI template I can put film number, title, item no, etc.
