It does it all the time. I’ve just been working on the sources for a very long time and it is just another annoying thing I have to do. Maybe I have something set wrong that makes it start off at the bottom of the list.
The GEDCOM import that was done sometime in late 2009 put all of the source text into the comment section so I have to move it back where it belongs. I’m also adding the images, but midstream of doing this I decided to make changes to some of my sources. For the census, instead of having citations linked to one census year source (i.e., 1900 US Federal Census) I’m turning those citations into sources for each family since there’s no way to list just one family doing it the other way. I got the idea to do it this way when I found it a pain to make one change in a citation detail and then have to copy it for all those family members that are assigned to that census page. If it was made into a source instead, then I make the change once and it updates the rest. It would be nice if you could do this with the citations like it did for the program I switched from. I haven’t decided whether I should do this for all of the other sources like newspaper articles and obituaries. That would make my source list massive. It’s already getting huge with the census and I’m up to the 1900 census. You should submit this as a formal suggestion asap. I agree. Go to the website (maybe right from the home tab?); I just read where Sherry told someone else about doing that. During LFS testing, the LFS list of individuals did just what you are saying and they changed it; I imagine it wouldn't be a tough change for what you're working on as well. Is that only with the gedcom import? Or does it do that all the time? I never really noticed that and I use the index view to search all the time. Be specific with what your problem is when you report and you can probably attach a screen shot of your problem. I'm doing this for more than two thousand names and hundreds of sources, not just a few. This is a major overhaul of a GEDCOM import from over a year ago.
