A BIG thanks for all the help.  I would say I'm not 'new' to legacy (starting
with V6), but have certainly learned quite a bit over the last few days on
working with parent options. A very powerful tool but am confident I wouldn't
have been able to work my way thru it without your detailed help! (A special
thank you to Gene and Russ for your time). This family line has been especially
trying/interesting ranging from Royalty to Rat Catchers, highwaymen to an axe
murderer. I also found it strange that William would not take his child after he
marries but hard to know exactly what happened.  The details come from a family
history that has been quite reliable.  Have found Maud M Marsh's BC on UK, will
order it just to be on the safe side and hope it contains the fathers name.  (in
her MC she gives her grandfather as her father)  Will also order her younger
"sister's" BC.  In 1891 she is shown as Elizabeth Marsh's daughter but in 1901,
she becomes her granddaughter.  Hopefully the certs will add some light. Again
thank you all for your time and help, Scott B

Subject: [LegacyUG] Entering adoptions
Hoping someone can guide me thru how to enter the following information
correctly.

William Henry Marsh b1862 has an illegitimate child, Maud Mary Bulmer, in 1878.
She appears as a boarder in the 1881 census with William, his siblings and
mother, Elizabeth Marsh (a widow).  In 1888 William marries and moves on, but
Maud appears in the 1891 census as Maud M Marsh, daughter of William's mother,
and in 1901, after Elizabeth Marsh marries Timothy Hingley, Maud appears as Maud
Marsh Hingley.

I sure would appreciate some help.  When I try to do it, it begins to look like
Elizabeth had 3 husbands and one was her son....not good!

Thank you for any help,
Scott B
