Hi John

I think the answer you are after, is to search for one daughter (clear the
list first for this first search only), then search the resulting search
list - it will give you individuals, not families, so you create a list and
work through it looking at the Family window.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Search help

As a long time Legacy user I use the search feature quite often. I've hit
the same question twice and am not sure if I can solve it via search -
couldn't figure out how the first time - and now hope some guru out there
can help!

I have a mother's will that lists three female married children. The
deceased mother may/may not be the birth mother of the children due to
having had two or more husbands. This is in the late 1700's when families
tended to use the same first names VERY frequently.

The search I need is to find the family or families in my Legacy database
that have daughters with all three of the given names, or alternately with
just two.

[mother: Jean Harris; daughters: Jean Dawkins, Cloey Lisles, Lettes
Cockrell; the three daughters surnames are common in my data file, the
mother's surname is not in there - yet]

All suggestions appreciated.

John
