Linda, Virginia answered your 2nd question in a positive manner, and I can say that the deluxe version also will allow you to include events in your reports as part of the output. Any reports that you create can be either in text printer format or pdf format for publication. I have already charted out one family tree to 12 generations with photos for a friend and sent out in pdf format from the deluxe version. On my family tree just playing with it, I did a 23 generation report in pdf tree chart without any issue. Since I am not LDS, I do not have access to some of the features...yet...but looking forward to it to be able to help "clean-up" some of the errors that exist currently in the records that have been carried for years. I also with added help from the LUG have created more specialized searches then the basic hints that are included. I would never go back to any other program [and I had them way back when] and have been with Legacy since version 4.0.

If I received answers to my inquiry made yesterday, my husband deleted them before I had a chance to read them so I am resubmitting it. I have used 3 different versions of Family Tree Maker for over 13 years, the latest being about 6 years old. I bought a laptop with Windows 7 and noticed that my latest version could not be used so I bought Family Tree Maker 2010 and really hate it. It took some time getting used to do some things I used to easily but the main problems are: 1.the inability to share my "reports" (I used to at least be able to create in the program and copy and paste), 2. the inability to find an individual in the file searching through all text fields (I have a lot of information in the "events" (facts) fields but they are not searchable at once nor is the "notes" searchable at all) 3. the inability to have "events" (facts) contents included in my reports, 4. and the data in my gedcom files now created and posted on my Rootsweb page is there but is jumbled up (it looks okay in the program but not on the internet). I have over 13,000 individuals in my file and over 750 pictures. I wish I could go back but I have made many additions since I upgraded last summer. I am thinking of trying Legacy Deluxe 7 because at least I could create pdf files- that would take care of problem 1. I know any import will have to be in gedcom format and my pictures will not be linked to anything. Can anyone tell me if Legacy Deluxe 7 would solve problems 2 and 3?
