I can't actually think of an instance where I would need to have Legacy decide between were/was because an Event Sentence nearly always uses either a "single person word" such as he, she or name before the verb or else has a "couple word" such as they or the couple's names. Can you give an example of when you would want to use were or was, depending on which was appropriate?
