I'm a new Legacy user making the transition from FTM 2008. I have Legacy v. 7.5.0.56 installed on a desktop running Windows XP, SP 3 and on a laptop running Windows 7. The transition via Gedcom was seemingly uneventful, however, none of the census images, photos or other miscellaneous documents were placed in Legacy's default folder, i.e. C:Legacy>Pictures; but, are instead included in sub-folders within C:Legacy>Paulson Family Tree multimedia....
Based on conversations with another Legacy User (I'm a member of a local Legacy User Group), I'm about ready to conclude that to take full advantage of all the features available in Legacy, I need to move the contents of the Paulson Family Tree multimedia folder described above to C:Legacy>Pictures. I need assurance that my conclusion is correct and, if so, could I "click and drag" the entire folder (including the sub-folders contained therein) from their current location to C:Legacy>Pictures; or, is there a better way? Are there any unforeseen consequences I need to be aware of? Any guidance fellow list users provide will be most appreciated.
