Mike, I haven’t had reason to use any Scottish census templates since the SW system was incorporated. With the English censuses the fundamental census reference is hard coded into the template, and I expect that is also the case for Scotland hence previous censuses cannot be adapted.
I think I would use the old basic template including all the details I wish, arranging the format Master Source/Detail Source as close as possible to the format which has been used for the Scottish 1901 census, but with the 1911 content and references. If this is done carefully then they could well look so similar to the SW output that you may feel there is no need to convert when the 1911 Scottish Template is available. Without seeing the 1911 census I cannot really be specific, but I hope that this may suggest a possible way forward.
