Amy,

There is a way to do this. Go to “Search the Internet for current person” and
add a new search by clicking on “Customize searches”. Now click on “Display
Customized searches”. Click on one of the eight “Select” boxes on the left of
the screen and then click “Add”. In the “Name for this search” box give the
search a name such as “Google Images - Whole name” and then copy the following
into the search string box:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en
<http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22%5bWholeName%5d%22&rlz=1B3GGLL_enUS359US359&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=861&bih=450>

&q=%22[WholeName]%22&rlz=1B3GGLL_enUS359US359&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&biw=861&bih=450

Now click on save. Make sure your new search is highlighted in the screen that
opens and then click “Select” and “Close”.

You now have a customized search that will do a Google Image search for the
current person with only a couple of clicks of the mouse button.

Happy searching,

bgj

Subject: [LegacyUG] "Research Guidance" for Photo Searches?

I love searching google images for old family photos. I was wondering if there
was a feature in Legacy, maybe in the Research Guidance section or a toolbar
button, that would link directly to google images or a similar site. I can
obviously do the search manually but something like this would save a few steps
(multiplied over 100s).

Happy Hunting,

Amy
