Is the "incorrect name" an AKA you entered for that woman?

Not all programs support Alternate/multiple names so if more than one
name is included in an incoming GEDCOM they may take the first one and
ignore all others or take each new name for a person and overwrite the
original name so that the last name in the GEDCOM is the one for the
person when the import is complete. That may be what you are seeing from
FTDNA.
