Not quite true Sherry, because the 1/2 siblings will always show at the end of
the list. The only way to get half/step-siblings to show in the correct order
is to attach each child to both marriages. For instance, my second husband's
two children are attached to our marriage as well as my husband and his first
wife, and my daughter, born after her step-siblings, is attached to my first
marriage, and my second marriage. If I look at my husband's first marriage I
see the two children, if I look at my first marriage I see my daughter, if I
look at 'our' marriage I see the three children in the correct order. I always
add Child Status where I have created new labels such as Step-Child of xxxx so
parentage is very clear (although 1/2 siblings show the name of the other
parent). I don't Show 1/2 siblings, because if I do it appears that my
step-children are also half-siblings of my first husband's children which of
course they aren't. Interestingly 'our' three children don't show as being 1/2
siblings of themselves in my second marriage. But my daughter appears on my
second husband's first marriage as if she is a step-daughter of his first wife
- again, not correct.
The only problem with doing things my way is that in some reports all the
details of the 1/2 siblings will appear twice even if you select Don't Repeat
Duplicates. Their descendants (if any) don't repeat, but ALL of their details,
including events (if any) do show. Not ideal, and I know the genealogical
purists will be aghast that I am linking step-children to a marriage (note I
said step, not true half siblings where they share a parent) but I consider
myself more a family historian so it is important that (especially) my own
step-children and their families are included with my husband and myself. I
put up with the repeat of individuals in reports, and I don't show 1/2 siblings
on the screen. And by linking step-children only to the correct step-parent I
don't get a situation where children appear to be step-children of a person
they had nothing to do with (e.g. a first wife who is NOT a step-parent of the
children of the second wife.)
Sorry to be a bit rambly - but it is a complex situation!

Cheers
Jan

Right click on a child, select Children's Settings and sort them in that window.
