Bill,

Why get rid of the Sample file – unless you are short of memory. I still find
it useful for testing things and troubleshooting, and have kept it on all my
machines. Surprising how often I use it!

You don’t actually say what data, if it is just the .fdb file then I find that
copying it via a flash drive is as good a way as any other – similarly for the
back-up if you wish to use that method. If you also include your image files
then you are in a different ball game. The best way way is to use your media
backup and copy that across using the flash drive (say), and then put the pics
into the same path on the laptop as on your PC, the path also includes the user
name btw. Oh, and don’t forget all your User files if you wish to keep your
settings.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Desk top & lap top

Several related questions please.

1. Have Legacy open and running on desktop. Desire to use laptop as I travel.
Have Legacy open on laptop but I only get Asa Brown's family. How to remove Asa?
2. After above, is the best way to transfer data from desktop to laptop via
flash drive, home network or what?

Thanks, Bill SAquier
