I normally store my Legacy data in my DropBox account for backup and availability on my other computer. I watched the Legacy Dropbox Webinar with Jeff and Tim so I set my Legacy file preferences for prompt when opening.
I also keep a copy on my USB drive. At the Salt Lake Family History Library they have Legacy 7.5 on their network, so if you click on your data file it will open up Legacy application. I worked on the master location database while in the FHL. Then the next day I put the USB drive in my home computer and opened up the Legacy app but apparently worked in the "Shadow" version of the data for 6 hours. I realized this before exiting because it showed the file name on my C: drive in stead of the E: flash drive. I guessed that 6 hours of work was more valuable than 30 minutes of work. Now I have two versions of the data. What is the process of merging the several different types of Legacy file extensiton (FG, FSD, PPL, TC and FS files) together?
