I use the following events with sentences defined appropriately. As always,
this is what I have decided to do. With Legacy's flexibility, you can do
almost anything you want to fit your style of research and reporting.

Each of these is used to record if a person was someone's Godmother or
Godfather. This would be an Individual Event.
GODMOTHER
GODFATHER

Each of these is used to record a person's Godmother or Godfather. This would
be an Individual Event.
HER GODMOTHER
HER GODFATHER
HIS GODMOTHER
HIS GODFATHER

This is used to record a couple's Marriage Witnesses. This would be a Marriage
Event.
MARRIAGE WITNESSES

This is used to record if a person is the Marriage Witness at someone's
wedding. This would be an Individual Event.
MARRIAGE WITNESS

Mary

Hi Jenny

I create two "matching" events, with the event name indicating in
brackets if they are "done to" or "done by", and edit the wording so
that it is correct for each - in effect I have two separate events.

Cheers, Brett
