Please forgive me for asking a really DUMB question...

How do I source digital photos that I've taken of, for example, headstones
and cemeteries?

These digital photos are the cemetery sign or entrance, an overview of the
cemetery, the headstone (some at various angles or close-ups of certain
parts of the stone), an overview of the family plot, etc. and then enter
these photos in the individual's headstone event along with any notes. And
since I'm trying to clean-up my Legacy files, I'm finding several that
haven't been sourced and lots of inconsistencies with sourcing especially
with older entries, most likely because of my lack of experience/knowledge.
If only I knew then what little I know now!

When I pull down the template in Legacy for the "Photographs, portraits &
sketches>privately held", I enter all the information as suggested. I have
to enter this information on every photograph with a few exceptions where I
can just copy the source to the clipboard and paste to a few other photos,
like using the same family plot or cemetery overview photos for all those
buried in the plot, etc.

I've looked at several of the privately held templates in Legacy and they
seem to be one in the same, read Evidence Explained and these templates work
extremely will with the one-of-a-kind artifacts or holdings that I have, but
with these photos I'm going to end up with hundreds of master sources not to
mention extremely time consuming. So, I must be doing something very wrong
or overlooking the obvious in sourcing these images.

What I want to do is to create a master source for the digital photos I've
taken, and then use the source detail screen for the subject. Something
along the line of the master source title of Headstones>Personal Photo
Collection or Headstones>Cemetery Name>Personal Photo Collection (or
something similar) and then have the detail source screen where I can enter
the information about that particular subject/photo. I have single master
sources for my census records, on-line death certificate databases, etc.,
where I can use the detail source screen and works very well, but this
privately held sourcing has stumped me.

Thanks for helping this confused amateur and hoping someday, I'll be able to
return the favor!
