As Dennis menitoned, you need to make sure you have the same build on
both computers - overwriting the .exe and other files in the new
installation with a previous build could really mess things up for
you.

Your settings and preferances are stored as .USR files in the  main
c:\Legacy folder.

You would need to copy any custom ColorSchemes over as well as your
saved report settings and any reports, etc you may have saved to the
c:\Legacy folder.

Copying the Legacy folder from the old machine to a new machine
doesn't register the program and you can run into problems there also.
 You would have to reinstall over the folder with the latest build
from our website.

Of course, you need to install on a Windows 7 computer per the
instructions found at
www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/helpWindows7andVista.asp.
