It works fine in text fields -- that is the text ends up where you want it. The quality, however, is far from acceptable. Even with a good microphone, clear monotone speech, and quite a bit of practice, the results still require enough re-editing to make it more time consuming than just typing away. A typical half-baked Microsoft OS gadget.
