Tim,

I do not see anything wrong with your search string. It matches what I have
and am having no problem with it. I am not sure how findagrave reacts to a
middle name vs middle initial. That is will findagrave find Mary Lou Johnson
if the name entered is Mary L. Johnson.

I do know it works better if you add a location. Legacy does not provide for
passing a location and it must be added as a refinement after you arrive at the
site. I have asked that the list of variables be expanded to include location
and spouse information. To date have not heard if it fell on deaf ears or not.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Find A Grave

I'm having a hard time with the following string with the middle name.
With middle name, most the time it will not find it, yet without it brings me a
whole list of "all" the folks with that surname with no regard to the first
name.

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSfn=[FirstName]&GSmn=[MiddleName]&GSln=[Surname]&GSbyrel=all&GSby=&GSdyrel=all&GSdy=&GScntry=0&GSst=0&GSgrid=&df=all&GSob=n

Thoughts ?

Tim
