Presumably the person is in your file because they are connected to someone else in your file. If the someone else is a blood relation, calculate the relationship between yourself and the other person and then extrapolate the generation gap between yourself and the non-relative. If the person you are interested in is married to a sibling of the spouse of a blood connection, calculate the relationship between that blood relationship; his/her sibling's spouse will be of the same generation. You can work back in a similar fashion to anyone who is link to you and to the non-blood person. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
