Michele, I haven't read all the posts yet, but are you doing a chart or a report? Sounds like a report, but can you get the info you need in the chart instead? And I think you can turn off the lines in a chart.
Or maybe turn off all the notes and sources in the report options when you run the report? And there are check boxes for stuff like spouses and children, to remove more of the information. (I mean for the produce an RTF and cut excess in Word approach.)

As it was compiling, I stopped it at 106 pages
I have A LOT of info and a ton of sources. That is why I want it to do the direct line only.

Could you create the Legacy report in Rich Text format and then edit it to leave only the direct line using
Word? That is how I ended up creating one Chronology/Timeline for five different individuals. I did a lot of
cut and paste, but I ended up with what I wanted.
