I typically request these via the vital records, etc.'s own website. Would love to hear there is a preferred/standard format.
However, you could just go to your state's website and see what information they require as a basis for your own 'form' letter. FYI, I found you can't request 'recent' records, but the definition is different by state. Also, the cost is usually on the website... sending the right amount the first time speeds it up (and doesn't tick them off). --Paula in Texas Researching: Adair Baker Beasley Benson Betz Bigley Blagrave Burton Chapman Clement Clough Coppernoll Costine Daulton Dinwiddie Doody Ellis Exline Field Floran Floyd Gates Goodale Gordon Gump Hale Harbaugh Hind Hopkins Hughes Hurdle Jones Klein Koyle Laswell McDonald Misner Passwaters Pelton Roberts Roche Ryburn Short Singer Sullivan Weller Williams ----- Original Message ---- From: Sherry/Support <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wed, September 14, 2011 11:10:58 AM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Legacy forms - add-ons? No, but you can search the web for genealogy forms that can be downloaded. Or maybe someone can send to you OFF LIST a copy of a letter they use.
