Or to be more of a lumper like some of us so we don't get overrun with too many separate sources, you could use something like:
NEWSPAPER - Michigan, USA or whatever, and put the part about the actual name of the newspaper (known or not known) as part of the source detail, attached to the person, not the master source itself, if that makes sense.
