Tony, Having just renamed all my image files (for various reasons, none of which dealing with the extension... at least not without changing the format say from .bmp to .jpg)... I feel your pain. One thing that MIGHT speed up your task is to rename the files in Windows (or use that free app someone just posted), then Options>Customize>Test multimedia paths ... uncheck the box for making a list, then click "Proceed"... it will pop up that 4-choice window and you can browse for the correct file name (which you're familiar with). It's still tedious, but at least you don't have to open all the Individuals.
I too wish Legacy would recognize when I have told it what the new file name/location is and not ask me again for every subsequent missing file. I think I will just go out there now and enter a suggestion. ;) PS - I had about 250 files and it took a few days, but not working all day.
