You are correct that search and replace will not find pictures, but it is the first part which which I have a problem. Legacy does not attach multiple copies of a picture to everything to which it is attached, in fact it stores the path, and if you correct for one missing link for a particular picture by clicking on the question mark indicating that it is missing, it will renew the link for them all.
