I use dual monitors. Rather than click the button to make Legacy full screen (or drag to the top of the monitor in Win7), I click and drag a corner to make it full screen.
That way I can stil move the window back and forth between monitors. Then when you open it again, it will be on the secondary monitor where you left it.
