You would not use a serial port for a projector. And, I am betting that your
device doesn’t have a serial port at all. It is very difficult finding a serial
port on anything these days. That 15 pin connector is a VGA port.

We have a HP NetBook with a serial port, BUT, the instructions suggest that one
should NOT use a projector.

Also NOTE, that most NetBooks the hardware is NOT really upgradeable.

Yes one can run Home basic or Home Premium but would not gain much speed.

Most are limited to 1 Gig of RAM and is the result that the mother board is
designed that way.

Thanks,

At the risk of getting off topic, those of you who have Windows 7 Starter, will
it allow you to connect the Netbook to a projector to make a demonstration?
This feature is important to me, both for Legacy and other presentations.

Last question on this topic, I promise.

Thank you.
