The secret word is Gutter. In Microsoft Word the process is as follows:

Select File > Page Set Up >

Margins Tab: Pages = Mirror Images; then set the Inside and Outside margins at 0.75". set Top and Bottom margins at 0.75". Set Gutter at 0.35"

Select Layout Tab > Section Start > Odd page.

Headers & Footers > Check Different Odd & Even, also Check Different First Page.

The gutter is the space allotted for the binding.

Give it a try.

Subject: [LegacyUG] printing a book

Hello
I am ready to print a book, which will contain double sided pages, and will be bound on the left.  How do I get the body of the text of the odd numbered pages to print slightly to the right and the even numbered pages to print slightly to the left? .. so the pages look properly centered when the book is bound?  If I change the left margin, won't all pages be affected?
I have looked in "help" and the manual to no avail.  They talk about printing book reports but this is not addressed that I could find.
Thanks,
Margie Lauer
