Thank you. I know this sounds silly, but I have done all of that but my "Put boxes around individuals" is still not available. The color option works for family group sheets, but not pedigree charts.

First go to options, customize, click on the view tab. About half way down the left side of the page is a box for Ancestor Color Coding. Put a check in the box and click Save. Next go to the Tools menu and click on Apply Ancestor Colors. Make sure that your name appears in the box. Click on Apply Color Coding. When you've done that go to report, Pedigree, chose the Color Text and Boxes option, On that screen you can choose the 4 Line Colors option. Click Save, then go to Report Options. The option for putting boxes around individuals will be available. The color coding option works for family group sheets but not the pedigree chart.
