Carolyn, I run Legacy on WIN7 64bit without any problems. The problem may be caused by reinstalling over a previous version which has not been completely removed, and possibly malware. Did you install Legacy as recommended for WIN7 in c:\, or in the program files? Installing in the latter can cause access problems, as you cannot write to that directory.
You could also try right clicking on the Legacy.exe file and selecting ‘Run as administrator’ Ron Ferguson http://www.fergys.co.uk/ From: Carolyn Sent: Wednesday, November 16, 2011 7:23 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [LegacyUG] Trying to open charting - help please Can someone help me please, I have windows 7, 64 bit, and have just tried to open the charting part of my Legacy deluxe programme, only to receive the following message in a pop up window: “Access violation at address 009FDD97 in module ‘Legacy charting exe’ Read of address 00000057.” Hope its something simple!
