I have long agreed with Ron on the need for more spaces for definitive locations. This being in the USA and for several reasons.
I need to be able to list rural families in a manner that will be more definitive of the exact location where they resided. Example: City Directories for 1950's show family location as RR1, New Castle, Indiana, USA. However New Castle was in Henry Township, Henry County, Indiana, USA. but the family actually lived in Harrison Township, Henry County, Indiana, USA. Mailing addresses are often not actual location addresses. Using Residence Events might work but I have delayed entering this information until I have a firm system worked out for each location problem. If you are dealing with families living in larger cities I see exact addresses as a necessity. I would like to be able to enter areas within large cities. Example: Aunt & Uncle once lived in several different areas of Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA and by entering the areas I can trace their upward advance. In this instance I would like it to read: street address, area, city, county, state, and nation. Large cities are often located in more than one county. I have little to no technical knowledge but how would an option to select # of fields for each individual, situation, event work?
