A very large gedcom file I imported a few months ago entered the author's name as an "Unspecified" source for everyone in the entire file. Since then I have had the chance to borrow all the original material used to compile this gedcom and would like to delete the original compiler's name as I have added 100% to what was already there and verified everything with the original and made corrections where applicable.
I'd like to change the Unspecified field to Name instead, at least long enough to rid everyone of the meaningless Unspecified reference. Or is there even a way, if I do have to do these deletions manually, of even seeing a list of names using this Source. I've removed about half of them so far but it's a daunting effort. Is there any way I can delete the Unspecified field or change it to something else? If I need to use the Clipboard, please send descriptions for an idiot as Ive never used this method and don't plan on doing so if I can help it. Don't even know where to find it.
