Sherry and everyone,
I wonder if the duplication that Paula is referring to is that the city, state/province, and country can be recorded are (or more correctly, can be recorded) in both the location field and the address field. Assume that one records a burial location with city, county, state, and country. If one then enters the burial address, one can put the cemetery name in the address name field, the street address in up to two lines of address , and then city, state, and country are duplicated. The address field, presumably because it is postal based (although admittedly US/Canada format) excludes the county. I guess one could choose to enter just cemetery name and street address in the address dialog box. I have experimented and have chosen to put everything in the location field because 1) it transfers in GEDCOM better - yes, Legacy does export as ADDR tags but importing ADDR tags into other programs is hit and miss, while the location field transfers much more reliably, and I like the way putting everything in the location field prints on reports. Just my personal preference.... Paul Gray I'm not sure what you meant then... You were asking about removing the duplcation of the addresses next to the locatons?
