I understand that it means the person that receives it, whatever it is - but
would that mean that I would enter my name as the person that received the
information from whomever?  If so, my name would be entered multiple times.

Yes and Yes. But, I have a Source Writer Email Master Source with myself as
the recipient, and use this for all my emails ie. I'm a lumper. So, only one
Master source and the sender and contents are in the Detail.
