Hello again

I was able to try out the import feature and assigned a source to the other
info. That worked great so many thanks.

May I ask again on the same subject but from a different point of view?

Supposing I have a brand new GEDCOM file from another friend with her data and
I will assign her data with her name as the source. If I am to add new data to
her file in Legacy, is there a way of automatically assigning myself as the
source each time so that when I return it to her, she will know that that piece
of information came from me?

Many thanks,

Jemima

Yes, she can assign a source "Jemima" as she imports. Likewise, you can assign
a source "friend's name" when you import HER data.

A second options would be to create a GEDCOM of the research that you've done.
Send it to her and let her incorporate it into her file.
