In the Timelines folder inside the Legacy folder, you'll find those that are
installed with the program, organised by language. As you'll discover, they're
just plain text files, one record per entry in the timeline together with a
specific header record. Look at one with Notepad and you'll soon get the idea.

As to using info from somewhere else...? That's up to you. The file format is
largely a devising for Legacy, I think. So you probably won't be able to mix and
match.

The Help file has several topics relating to timelines. Simply type Timeline in
the keyword box of the Index pane, and work your way through what it lists.
