Have you really forgotten about this mess already? It has been discussed on this list many times, and it is not only me that have problems. I also got several private emails about the problems after I begged you to fix it a few weeks ago. You can't seriously mean that you don't know what "mess" I'm referring to? I can't believe that you're happy with the situation as long as it works fine for you in gmail? While a lot of the subscribers are having problems because of those errors! To repeat it again: You are using 2 header fields wrong: List-Id : This is supposed to be a unique ID for the list, which should *never* change. Your List-Id changes for every single message! Message-Id : This is supposed to be a unique ID for each message, and it's what makes it possible to show threads correctly. Your Message-Id also changes all the time, which is why threading doesn't work (using mail agents that follow the rules). As I've also written before: If you're not able to fix this yourselves - please ask on the list for help. Usually there's always someone that have experience and can help setting it up correctly. But you have to tell us what mailing list server you're using (which I also asked for earlier). > > Sincerely, > Sherry > Technical Support > Legacy Family Tree > > > > 2012/1/25 Bjørn K Nilssen <[email protected]>: > <snip> >> >> I have made a suggestion. >> To be frank I'm afraid I don't expect too much.. >> So far all my formal suggestions have been met with a thumbs down :( >> >> Although it would be nice to have this timeline choice I would very much >> prefer that >> a few minutes was spent on fixing the mailinglist server instead. >> It would take me a lot less time to make new, custom "short" timeline files >> than what I have to spend on "fixing"/maintaining this mailing list mess. -- Bjørn K Nilssen - [email protected] - 3D and panoramas Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
