I know what you're talking about.  And those formats apply to all dates in your
database.  The issue I was reporting had to do with some dates being output in
one format and other dates being output in another format.  If you could be more
specific about which item on the options > customize > date tab you think might
affect this, please ask.  As far as I can see there is not an option for
"output" beyond "display on screen."

There, in the section titled "Dates Displayed As" are several dates. I am
wondering if that makes a difference.
