Because you can't put boxes around them in the 6-gen view. After a few more moments of thought on this... The 4 color option is really only applicable on one page. All subsequent pages are the same color (if you're using "the system") and you can select the appropriate color with the first option in the "Color Text and Boxes" pop-up.
