Can someone help me get following right please.
I have tried to enter child as new person then add father (already in tree) and
mother (already in tree).
I then on marriage page tick 'couple not married' but it automatically lists
them in marriage list. When I remove that link it removes the child's details.
Child was shown as 1st child from a groom's 2nd marriage, however real father
was a son from 1st marriage.
Incidentally real father didn't abandon her but planned to marry. He was
apprenticed to his father, who took apprenticeship away in order to persuade
mother (who was an orphan) to marry him instead and brought child up as his.
The couple married 5 months after child was born. She ended up giving him 13
children of his own. He already had 11 from 1st marriage. Last child was 50
years younger than eldest from 1st marriage. Son didn't get apprenticeship back
but was banned from contact.
