I have just discovered that one of my distant cousins was granted the Freedom of the City of London, as recorded by Ancestry at
http://search.ancestry.co.uk/cgi-bin/sse.dll?rank=1&new=1&MSAV=1&msT=1&gss=angs-g&gsfn=john+nathaniel&gsln=brice&msydy=1854&cpxt=1&catBucket=rstp&uidh=uh2&cp=11&pcat=ROOT_CATEGORY&h=910511&recoff=5+6+7+29+30+31&db=LondonFreedomofCity&indiv=1 It is an online database, but I really don't know which top-level source writer template to use. Any advice would be gratefully received.
